EconSquad AI ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered productivity platform built exclusively for economic development professionals. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider, Supabase. This information is used to identify your account and communicate with you about the platform.

Google OAuth Data

If you choose to connect your Google account, we request access to your Gmail inbox and Google Calendar. This connection uses OAuth 2.0 and provides us with temporary access tokens to display your inbox and calendar within the app. Access tokens are not stored permanently on our servers — they are used in real time during your session only.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the platform, including:

• Specialist missions run and which AI specialists you use
• Estimated time saved per session and cumulative totals
• Feature engagement (tabs visited, tools deployed)
• Session timestamps and general activity patterns

This data helps us improve the platform and personalize your experience, including ARIA's proactive insights.

Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or full payment details. We receive only basic billing metadata from Stripe (subscription status, plan type, renewal dates) necessary to manage your account access.

Task and Calendar Data

Task lists, notes, and personal to-do items created within the platform are stored in your browser's localStorage — they live on your device, not on our servers. This means your task data does not leave your browser unless you explicitly use a feature that transmits it (such as running a specialist mission).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: Authenticate your account, deliver AI specialist functionality, and maintain platform access.
• Personalize ARIA insights: Use your usage patterns to generate personalized ROI summaries, time-saving estimates, and proactive recommendations.
• Platform notifications: Send you important account notices, feature updates, and (with your consent) product news.
• Process billing: Manage your subscription plan, trial status, and renewal via Stripe.
• Improve the product: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve features, prioritize new specialists, and fix issues.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. AI Processing

EconSquad AI uses Anthropic's Claude as the underlying AI model for all specialist agents. Your prompts and the generated outputs may be subject to Anthropic's usage policies and privacy practices. We encourage you to review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.

EconSquad AI does not train AI models using your specialist inputs or outputs. Mission history stored in our database is used solely to display your work history within the platform.

5. Google Data

We request the following Google API scopes when you connect your Google account:

• gmail.readonly: Read your inbox to display emails within the platform
• gmail.modify: Archive, label, or categorize emails on your behalf
• gmail.send: Send emails through the platform when you initiate a send action
• calendar.readonly: Read your Google Calendar to display upcoming events

Google user data is used exclusively to provide the inbox and calendar features within EconSquad AI. We do not sell, share, transfer, or use Google user data for any purpose beyond the features you explicitly use in the app.

Our use of Google API data is compliant with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You may revoke Google access at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page or disconnecting from the Inbox settings within EconSquad AI.

6. Data Storage & Security

• User profile data is stored in Supabase, which is SOC 2 Type II compliant and uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
• Task and note data is stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest standard for payment processors.
• All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not operate unencrypted connections.
• Specialist mission history is stored in Supabase and is associated only with your authenticated account — it is never shared with other users.

While we implement reasonable and industry-standard security measures, no system is completely impenetrable. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.

7. Data Retention

Account data (profile, usage history, mission history) is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, all personally identifiable data will be removed from our systems within 30 days of your request.

Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes and cannot be linked back to your identity.

Data stored in your browser's localStorage is entirely under your control — you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
• Export: Request a portable copy of your mission history and usage data in a standard format.
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including marketing communications.

9. Children's Privacy

EconSquad AI is designed for professional use and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of EconSquad AI after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
